Review:
Based on a John Galsworthy novel, hence the pretentious title, this became a slightly bowdlerised romantic melodrama, with Wynyard standing by her husband in spite of his cruelty. She is great but 'Mr Stiff' Colin Clive drags down the pace somewhat.
