Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/2.35:1 151m
Director: Gore Verbinski
Cast: Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Stellan Skarsgård, Tom Hollander, Bill Nighy, Jonathan Pryce

Synopsis:

Captain Jack Sparrow is informed by a ghostly sailor that he must join Davey Jones and the crew of the Flying Dutchman for eternity, unless he can find the key that opens the eponymous locker. Unfortunately for him two other parties are equally desperately in search of the key, sent by the wicked East India company.

Review:

This second instalment is full of incident, much of it spectacular and entertaining, and features two new faces, or rather one since Nighy is unrecognisable under CGI make-up; but the law of diminishing returns has almost inevitably set in, and there are precious few really memorable scenes, with the leads given nothing new to do.
