Possession (1981)

£0.00

Country: FR/GER
Technical: col 127m
Director: Andrzej Zulawski
Cast: Isabelle Adjani, Sam Neill

Synopsis:

A young woman in Berlin conceives a monstrous manifestation of her own subconscious rage at her staid relationship with her husband.

Review:

A mixture of arthouse and gross-out, this will surprise only those unfamiliar with the director's peculiar take on performance, continuity and action which makes viewing his films an uncomfortable experience. Hard to follow, alternating explosions of bloody fluid with stifling longueurs, it has to be seen to be disbelieved.
