Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)

£0.00

Country: US/GB
Technical: col/scope 143m
Director: Kevin Reynolds
Cast: Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Alan Rickman

Synopsis:

Robin returns from the Holy Land with a Moorish companion, and finds the forest of Sherwood under the heel of the Sheriff of Nottingham. He turns outlaw to save the peasantry from starvation and rescue his childhood sweetheart from an unwelcome match.

Review:

Modestly amusing and action-packed Hollywood updating of the tale, with a touch of political correctness but a sketchy knowledge of British geography: within a day of landing at Dover, Robin and Azeem cross Hadrian's Wall on the way to Sherwood.
