Run for the Sun (1956)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 99m
Director: Roy Boulting
Cast: Richard Widmark, Jane Greer, Trevor Howard, Peter Van Eyck

Synopsis:

A novelist in self-imposed exile and an ambitious columnist find themselves crashlanding in the Central American jungle and prey to Nazi fugitives in hiding.

Review:

A brisker treatment might have eliminated some of the creaky dialogue and the novelist business, but then the whole story is rather contrived. Still, as a Boulting thriller made in Hollywood, this is nothing if not a curiosity and the bullet fired through the hole in the door has to be a classic of sorts.
