Shadow in the Cloud (2020)

£0.00

Country: NZ/US
Technical: col/2.39:1 83m
Director: Roseanne Liang
Cast: Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Taylor John Smith

Synopsis:

During WW2, a Fortress leaves an Auckland air base with possibly the most misogynist crew ever on board, bound for Samoa. They are joined at the last minute by a female Flight Officer bearing a mysterious package, who proceeds to fulfil every 'woman on board' warning uttered by man.

Review:

Another return to 'that episode from The Twilight Zone', this time set amid an attack by Japanese Zeros for good measure, this would make ideal B movie material, to be sure, taken on its own terms. The plot, however, never begins to make sense, and it is unlikely any woman in the Pacific theatre had as many as 200 flying hours, much less was able to climb upside down along the wing of a B-17 with a broken arm, broken finger and flesh wound to the shoulder, while doing battle with a gremlin.
