Shaft's Big Score! (1972)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 105m
Director: Gordon Parks
Cast: Richard Roundtree, Moses Gunn, Joseph Mascolo

Synopsis:

Shaft's loses a friend to the numbers racket and the sister is at the mercy of rival gangs who want to get their hands on $200,000 of missing loot.

Review:

MGM gave Parks a bigger budget for this sequel and it shows. Not that the plot is in any sense inspiring, but as generic entertainment with black rather than white protagonists (except for the bad guys) it delivers the goods: frank dialogue, sexually available women and spectacularly staged violence.
