Ship of Fools (1965)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 150m
Director: Stanley Kramer
Cast: Vivien Leigh, Simone Signoret, Oskar Werner, Lee Marvin, George Segal, Elizabeth Ashley

Synopsis:

Passengers travelling from Mexico to Europe during the 1930s include a German doctor in love with a Mexican countess, a Jewish salesman, a young American couple and a dwarf.

Review:

Full of competent performances but rather staid and worthy, this Kramer production is too glamorous for its own good and the few chilling moments are less than compensation for the many scenes involving the irritating Segal/Ashley couple. It was Vivien Leigh's last film.
