Smokey and the Bandit II (1980)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 101m
Director: Hal Needham
Cast: Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason, Sally Field

Synopsis:

The Bandit is given another challenge, to transport an elephant from Florida to Texas, while eluding his nemesis, Sheriff Buford T. Justice.

Review:

Hamfisted attempt to repeat the earlier film's paean to individual action, which just boils down to wanton destruction of property and veers from slapstick to sentiment with an embarrassing incompetence at merely delivering the lines. A third instalment followed in 1983, with Reynolds in support and Gleason given top billing.
