The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 110m
Director: Norman Z. McLeod
Cast: Danny Kaye, Virginia Mayo, Boris Karloff

Synopsis:

An unassuming bookish young man has daylight fantasies involving heroic alter egos, but reality comes to the rescue in offering him an opportunity to rescue the damsel of his dreams.

Review:

James Thurber's work does good service as a vehicle for this actor, who injects his own brand of musical and vocal pyrotechnics into the traditional 'worm turns' scenario. The 'Little Fiddle' and the operating room sketch are priceless, and Virginia Mayo is a picture in Technicolor.
