The Sleeping Car Murders (1965)

£0.00

(Compartiment tueurs)

Country: FR
Technical: bw/scope 95m
Director: Costa-Gavras
Cast: Yves Montand, Simone Signoret, Pierre Mondy, Jacques Perrin, Michel Piccoli

Synopsis:

The occupants of a Marseilles-bound sleeping car are under suspicion when a woman is found murdered in her berth; only they too begin to be picked off one by one.

Review:

Ten Little Indians SNCF-style? Costa-Gavras's directorial debut is a remarkably confident blend of the classic French procedural with his own socio-political preoccupations. Superbly cast and impressively paced and shot, it is certainly worth a second look.
