The Square Peg (1958)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: bw 89m
Director: John Paddy Carstairs
Cast: Norman Wisdom, Honor Blackman, Edward Chapman, Campbell Singer

Synopsis:

A road repairman is called up during WW2 and parachuted into Germany to prepare for the Allied advance, where his resemblance to a local General gets him the last laugh on the Sergeant Major who put him in harm's way.

Review:

Wisdom playing a Nazi is worth a giggle, but this is strictly for home audiences of the 1960s otherwise. Sophisticated it certainly ain't.
