The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 99m
Director: Albert Pyun
Cast: Lee Horsley, Kathleen Beller, Simon MacCorkindale

Synopsis:

An evil king enslaves a good one with the help of a necromancer. Years later, the disenfranchised son returns, a warrior with a three-bladed sword, to reclaim his birthright.

Review:

Fast-moving and rather gruesome 'Dark Age' saga, with jokey sexual innuendo thrown in (since the violence is going to make it a 'AA' anyway). Other incongruities abound, no less amusing for the undemanding, such as the army of PLO terrorists supposedly passing as the arch villain's bodyguard, but the appalling script and bargain basement cast are chief among them.
