Term of Trial (1962)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: bw 130m
Director: Peter Glenville
Cast: Laurence Olivier, Sarah Miles, Simone Signoret, Roland Culver, Terence Stamp

Synopsis:

A schoolteacher is propositioned by one of his pupils, who then brings allegations against him when he rejects her advances.

Review:

British film drama of a period when acting and realism could be relied upon to provide quality, plus two particularly effective areas for dramatic exploitation in the classroom and courtroom. However, despite moving moments and one of Miles's best performances there is nothing otherwise exceptional here.
