Thief (1981)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: Astrocolor 123m
Director: Michael Mann
Cast: James Caan, Tuesday Weld, Willie Nelson, James Belushi

Synopsis:

A professional jewel thief who has spent over a decade of his life in prison is keen to make big money fast and retire with a girl and a family. Thus, against his better judgement he does a job for a well connected fixer and then finds that extricating himself is a lot more difficult.

Review:

Gloomy underworld thriller establishing Mann's favourite theme of tough professionals at work. The romantic subplot is also typical but unsatisfactorily tied up, the director preferring to end things with a bloodbath.
