Things to do in Denver when you're dead (1995)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 115m
Director: Gary Fleder
Cast: Andy Garcia, Christopher Walken, Steve Buscemi

Synopsis:

A paraplegic mob boss (The Man with the Plan) asks a 'favour' of gone-straight Jimmy the Saint, whose team of old-timers botch things up. He has two days to disappear and spends them trying to make good.

Review:

Quirky noir in the modern vein; violent, blackly humorous, but with a shot at redemption reminiscent of "Carlito's Way". It also makes much of vernacular like 'an action' (rough-up), 'buckwheats' (gruesome reprisal) and 'boat drinks' (a greeting between fellow ex-cons), in a way that borders on the self-conscious. Nothing new on offer, really.
