Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 138m
Director: George Roy Hill
Cast: Julie Andrews, Mary Tyler Moore, John Gavin, James Fox

Synopsis:

During the 1920s an old-fashioned girl arrives in New York City determined to be modern and successful. She sets her sights on her employer, but gradually gravitates towards her less conventional circle of friends, one of whom is kidnapped by white slavers.

Review:

Brash, spirited musical comedy from a rising talent, the next in a string of 'what to do with Miss Andrews' projects after Torn Curtain and Hawaii. It does not quite convince, and is too long, but still proves better than most.
