Tillie's Punctured Romance (1914)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 82m
Director: Mack Sennett
Cast: Marie Dressler, Charles Chaplin, Mabel Normand, Mack Swain

Synopsis:

Charlie a proves less than constant husband for country girl Tillie, because he is only interested in her money and has a girlfriend back in the city.

Review:

Charlie plays his city slicker character in this early feature from the Mack Sennett outfit. Extending the logic of the two-reelers whereby the plot unfolds in haphazard fashion and is then resolved by a deus, it is nevertheless a notable advance in the comedy form.
