Review:
One of the best productions granted a Hammer horror, with happily little 'local colour' involved and the outstanding Cushing lending a note of seriousness. It followed in the wake of The Vampire Lovers et al, injecting lashings of nipple baring into the mix, doubtless inspired by the films of Jean Rollin.
