Two-Faced Woman (1941)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 90m
Director: George Cukor
Cast: Greta Garbo, Melvyn Douglas, Constance Bennett, Roland Young

Synopsis:

A woman ski instructor poses as her own (fictitious) twin sister to keep her husband in check when she sees him flirt with an old flame.

Review:

MGM's attempt to repackage Garbo for the screwball age fizzles a little, partly because the age was pretty much over anyway, partly because the studio was never that good at it anyway. Garbo for her part acquits herself ably, as one would expect, and is unfairly blamed in some quarters for the poor showing of the picture, which was her last.
