Unfaithful (2002)

£0.00

Country: US/GER/FR
Technical: col 124m
Director: Adrian Lyne
Cast: Diane Lane, Richard Gere, Olivier Martinez

Synopsis:

New York: successful couple, the Sumners, live in marital bliss and leafy ease in the suburbs, that is until a chance encounter with a handsome bookdealer leads the wife to have an affair.

Review:

Diane Lane's luminous performance presides over this glossier, flabbier remake of Chabrol's La femme infidèle. Managing to sustain both the conflicting emotions of our adultress and the Hitchcockian tension and distaste surrounding the husband's lethal contribution, it may even be the best film Lyne made.
