Unfaithfully Yours (1948)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 105m
Director: Preston Sturges
Cast: Rex Harrison, Linda Darnell, Barbara Lawrence, Rudy Vallee

Synopsis:

A conductor suspects his wife of infidelity and, during the course of a concert, contemplates his possible courses of action while conducting the suitably varied items of the programme.

Review:

One for classical music enthusiasts, this, as Harrison conducts his way through Wagner, Rossini and Tchaikovsky, each piece colouring the manner in which he plans to respond to Darnell's infidelity. Sturges then of course has a field day showing how ill the best laid plans have a habit of working out. Deftly played, with just a touch of over-emphasis in the direction.
