Very Important Person (1961)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: bw 98m
Director: James Robertson Justice, Stanley Baxter, Leslie Phillips
Cast:

Synopsis:

An important scientist falls out of a reconnaissance plane behind enemy lines during WW2, while disguised as an RAF lieutenant. Once in a POW camp he is at first suspected by his cellmates, then lends his acumen to devising a safe escape plan.

Review:

A gallery of British comedy talent is on display here, and Justice more than ably holds centre stage. Otherwise it is a revisiting of familiar genre tropes played for laughs; it works pretty well.
