A Woman's Vengeance (1948)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 96m
Director: Zoltan Korda
Cast: Charles Boyer, Jessica Tandy, Ann Blyth, Cedric Hardwicke

Synopsis:

Unfaithful to his invalid wife, a well-to-do Englishman, is framed for her murder, possibly by the woman who really loves him.

Review:

Scripted by Aldous Huxley and directed by Korda for Universal, this was a strange beast indeed, with Boyer presumably cast for his Gaslight poisoner associations. It works reasonably well, with richly textured dialogue and sufficiently tense courtroom scenes.
