The Wedding Planner (2001)

£0.00

Country: GER/US
Technical: col/2.39:1 103m
Director: Adam Shankman
Cast: Jennifer Lopez, Matthew McConaughey, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras

Synopsis:

A successful wedding planner, who has sworn off relationships herself, bags a lucrative contract with an ambitious girl of moneyed family. The only problem is she has already met and fallen for the groom.

Review:

The kind of fluffy, cooky comedy they used to make in the forties with Barbara Stanwyck or Robert Montgomery. The stars are smart and genuine enough, and it retains affection for its minor characters, but the plotting and dialogue lack the pace and bite of their forebears.
