Way Out West (1937)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 66m
Director: James Horne
Cast: Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, James Finlayson

Synopsis:

Stan and Ollie are entrusted with the task of delivering the deeds to a gold mine to a surviving daughter, now the ward of an unscrupulous saloon owner in Brushwood Gulch.

Review:

Ageless star comedy, with some classic situations such as the puddle with the hidden hole and some song and dance numbers. Essentially the movie resolves itself into two sustained slapstick sequences: losing the deed and retrieving the deed, the latter of which contains some of the duo's most inspired ideas.
