When Time Ran Out (1980)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 109m
Director: James Goldstone
Cast: Paul Newman, Jacqueline Bisset, William Holden

Synopsis:

Assorted characters flee an erupting volcano before it is too late.

Review:

The title could be an ironic allusion to the disaster movie itself, a genre with which this film's producer, Irwin Allen, was largely synonymous. This is a very cut-price addition, with actors and situations from earlier films, such as Paul Newman carrying children on his back (cf. The Towering Inferno). It was ultimately rendered redundant by the Nineties offerings: Dante's Peak and Volcano.
